Traditional Pathways Charts

At SFDCI we believe that the high school years are very important for preparing students to meet their post-secondary goals, whether it be entering the workforce, apprenticeship or going off to college or university. While students are creating their 4-year plan, it is recommended that they start with Grade 12 courses necessary for their post-secondary program and work backwards. Students are directed to use the following websites to confirm prerequisites for their program of choice. It is very important to keep in mind that program prerequisites vary by school and students should check with the post-secondary institutions of their choice for exact prerequisites, keeping in mind that these could change every year.

We have put together the following charts to help students plan their course selections throughout high school. You will notice that some of the courses are 'recommended'. We feel that, although these courses may not be prerequisites for every program or every school, they will help students be better prepared to be successful in their post-secondary pathway of choice.
